Introduction of The Series

Peaky Blinders is a crime drama and it's created by Steven Knight who is also a famous film director. The series is set in Birmingham, England, it follows the Peaky Blinders crime gang that happened in the action of The First World War. Peaky Blinders is not fiction but based on the real urban youth gang who were famous in the city from 1880s to 1910s.

Setting And Main Characters

To be honest, the Peaky Blinders series has the best actors of all time. The series is led by Cillian Murphy, acting as Thomas Michael Shelby, Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby, Sophie Rundle as Ada Shelby, Hellen McCrocy as “Polly” Gray and Joe Cole as John Shelby. They also got famous actors such as Tom Hardy, Sam Neill, Annabelle Wallis, Adrien Nicholas Brody. As I mentioned the series takes place in Midlands, Birmingham, England. Surprisingly, the Midlands were important in the Industrial Revolution of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Summary of the plot

The series started in 1919, several months after World War 1 in November 1918. In the start of the series, we can see how the conditions are in Birmingham. Peaky Blinders came to the attention of Major Chester Campbell, a CIP in the Royal Irish Constabulary, who was sent by Winston Churchill from Belfast. He was sent there to clean street gangs, and common criminals. That's how the series was set in season 1.

The actor and acting

All the actors from Peaky Blinders are unbelievably marvelous. Especially Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby. He shows us what the real England gangstar is. Each season is very exciting and full of mysterious episodes. The series mostly gives us motivation for what it is like to be in England in the old centuries. Paul Anderson also performs well as a character of a big brother who'll do anything for his family. We can widely see how strong their brotherhood is.

Opinion on the series

To be honest, this series is the best series of all time and my personal favorite too. The acting, the plot and the settings of the genius derector is just tremendously outstanding. The series has also won so many awards. Even though I'm not a person who watches gangster movies or series, this makes me feel different. Although there are some adult scenes in it. But still though, we can't forget the goat Cillian Murphy and his amazing performances as a matchmaker of the show. He played the Thomas Shelby character perfectly and shows us what a real sigma is. I really recommend you to watch this series if you haven't. I'm 100% sure you'll love it!
